In 2011, Mandolin Artworks joined Etsy www.etsy.com/shop/MandolinArtworks My main mediums that I enjoy working in is graphite, watercolors and photography, though I dive in quite a bit more with paint, charcoal, and refurbished materials as well. I am always looking at ways to reuse pieces to become something else, whether it be a plastic soda bottle or an old vintage mirror, I enjoy creating on what some people prefer to call the absurd.

"Art can’t really be described, yet it is something that is created from a passion and love within the soul. Amanda Davis got her start as an artist when she was just 5 years old. She had an amazing art teacher that not only inspired her to follow her dreams but to look at the world in a whole new light, full of curiosity and creativeness. Amanda dabbles in watercolor, graphite, photography and dressmaking. She is always wanting to learn and push her boundaries to explore the world of art. She runs her own artworks company, Mandolin Artworks, established in 2007. Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in graphic design and photography in 2010. In her free time, Amanda also dabbles in the vintage/antiques business on the side, by running her own online Etsy business in vintage clothing and items, Variety Vintage by ALD. She spends many days in the company of her adorable puppy, Shasta and exploring Kansas City (claiming that she has never felt more at home in a city than she has in this one). She can always be found checking out local coffee shops, perusing the City Market for fresh produce and unique garage sale finds, spending long hours at The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art and the West Bottoms antique stores, and meeting new people. Amanda has a great passion for art, plays/theater, photography, music, reading and life in itself. Amanda has a love for the world and a passionate heart for the work that she does."
