Description

Martin took an interest in Graphic Design after spending many late evenings playing around with Photoshop software, creating designs based off his own and friends faces, which led to him practicing with many other forms of design practices ranging from Digital Painting to Branding in a way to find what he truly loved most. Following that he did a 2 year National Diploma in Graphics Design at The Weston College University Campus where he found a passion for Typography and Illustration, and thanks to the help of some truly brilliant lecturers and amazing studio enviroments, he completed the course with a Distinction and earned an Award for Creative Consistency in Design, 1 of 2 only awarded to students in the campus every year. He is now studying a BA(Hons) in Graphics Design at the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol and continues his practice with Typographic Design, honing skills in Lettering, and in this time has had the opportunity to have his Stop Motion work be exhibited at the Bristol Nature Festival on the BBC Big screen. Over the last year, he's been exposed to many different designers that have influenced his Typographic, Image and Lettering Design practice, such as Noma Bar, Anthony Burrill, Ged Palmer and Ginger Monkey (Tom Lane).
