Mass Audubon protects 36,500 acres of land throughout Massachusetts, saving birds and other wildlife, and making nature accessible to all. As Massachusetts’ largest nature conservation nonprofit, we welcome more than a half million visitors a year to our wildlife sanctuaries and 20 nature centers. The General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD) established itself as a non-profit in 1897. It is the mission of the Society to honor their Pilgrim ancestors who arrived in America aboard the Mayflower in 1620, and to join together the people who share this heritage.
