Massachusetts Environmental Police is responsible for protecting the environment and natural resources of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts through enforcement, education, and public outreach. The Office is further charged with protecting the health, safety, and individual rights of the public and preserving our environment for future generations. MEP is comprised of six bureaus; Coastal Bureau, Inland Bureau, Marine Theft Bureau, Boat and Recreation Vehicle Safety Bureau, Environmental Crimes Bureau, and the Boat, OHV, and Snowmobile Registration Bureau.
