Who Is MATIC? The Multi-Agency Tribal Infrastructure Collaborative (MATIC) began as a group of nine agencies and organizations dedicated and committed to increasing the awareness and improving the coordinated delivery of infrastructure programs and services to Native Americans and tribal communities in the southwestern United States. MATIC is continually evolving with new partner agencies and organizations joining the collaborative effort. MATIC was formed in May 2010 as a forum where dedicated partners meet regularly to share program information and collective resources to enhance cooperation, technical assistance and effective and efficient delivery of coordinated resources primarily for tribal physical infrastructure and housing development projects. Projects include a wide range of activities such as roads, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, utility services including broadband and fiber optics, solid waste disposal, drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities, housing and community development, and other related infrastructure development essential for viable, sustainable tribal communities. Who Does MATIC Serve? MATIC serves Native American communities and tribal entities in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Nevada by rallying resources, technical assistance and funding for tribal infrastructure primarily for affordable housing and community development projects. MATIC Meeting Schedule: Monthly MATIC meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Housing and Urban Development’s Southwest Office of Native American Programs, One North Central Ave., Suite 600, Phoenix, AZ.
