As i reflect on a geat day filled with many great deals i see a trend that seems to carry a lot of truth. Each deal that brings in the most money as well as yields the happyest customer comes from a place of pride. I have tried ti encourage my guys to have pride in puttting together that great deal and i notice that it is the salesman that believes in that the most always does the best and has the biggest gross with the happiest customers. Being good at what you do should encorporate pride and an expectancy that putting togetherba deal corectly with good profit comes with self gratification. This makes me proud of both my team. It allows me to go home satisfied. Just my thoughts, it seems a lot of guys now a days just take orders and do not put or expect pride in what they do and the difference shows.

do not allow yourself to become complacent as this leads to surprise's and not good ones either. I have found that sometimes I get into a grove and start to settle into a comfort zone this is when it starts to cost you, it costs you in sharpness, gross and your sales team as a whole starts to mimic your behavior. Stay sharp continue to force the action, force yourself to stay in the fight, and to join the fight, you want all the tools to be sharp.

Most dealerships suffer from an inability to implement processes, many managers come and go, as do consultants, with an abundance of great ideas defined by a week or two of implementation the nature of change fails. Never put a process in place that you are not willing to fire over.
