As Mr Wilson always says – a busy boarder is a happy boarder – and last weekend proved just that! The Foley girls were kept entertained by making egg towers and being creative! This was followed by an outing to visit their new best friend – Max Brenner - the Chocolate man!

Nice product, not the best coffee, but charging a 10% surcharge EVERY weekend, forget it. I'll go back to one of your many competitors instead!

Max Brenner.. you NEED another store in the Ormeau area!!!! You have 3 stores in the same area in Brisbane city and you have all clumped near each other again along the gold coast. As a massive Max Brenner chocolate lover I'm finding it difficult to satisfy my chocolate craving when I am literally in the halfway point of every Max Brenner stores that are all clumped near each other. Please consider another store in the area of the halfway point of your two clumps! 😊😊😊😊

(Posted on Max Brenner Robina, but no reply ...) "Hi Max Brenner .. So apparently there is a 10 % (and some stores TWENTY PERCENT !!) 'weekend surcharge' that has come from Head Office ? Can you explain this ? Does a family order of $70 (RRP - which assumingly already has your profit margin well and truly added .. 200% + ish ?) incur an additional $7 ON TOP because we come on a Saturday instead of a Thursday ? Why ? Banking fees are applied as a percentage based on the business's turnover and is generally in the vicinity of 2% depending on the turnover .. and this has nothing to do with weekends. And weekends aren't Public Holidays w different pay rates .. not to mention weekends have higher turnover anyway. Can you confirm and justify this exorbitant fee being applied to your customers upon their patronage of your business ? Until it is explained (satisfactorily) or removed this is one family of 5 that will not be visiting your 'love story' again." ????

I recently tried to visit the Bulimba store, but there were no gluten free cake options. It would be really easy to add something like a gluten free brownie. I chose to leave instead and I think you would find other customers do the same.

Very disappointed, went to Max Brenner's at Southbank yesterday and it was discussingly dirty. Dirty plates and tables everywhere, they were quite busy however as staff delivered orders they walked back empty handed past all the tables repeatedly! After about 1/2 hr I went up and asked for a wet cloth and cleaned up plates and our table myself, couldn't eat in the filth. The staff were very unhappy and very unmotivated. An older couple complained also because their teapot was filthy. Max Brenner obviously staff need better training or something I don't think I'll rush back!

Unfort THEE WORST service a group of Australian residents and Overseas guests we expected alot better than this ESPECIALLY for the price. Your staff need lessons on customer service and attention to simple detailing. Very VERY disappointing.

Mugs from Max Brenner Australia are much more expensive than US. US just cost a bit more for a set of 2.

Poor customer service. Disappointed in the purchase, have visited a different store and have received way better service, food and cleanliness. Pick up your game Southbank, disgusting!

Went to southbank max Brennas today. Ordered a brownie and ice cream. They bought out a brownie sundae. Mentioned that it was a bit bigger than we were expecting......5 minutes later after we'd started it a staff member came out and commented,"do you realise that's a brownie sundae not a brownie with icecream?" We said we thought it was different to what we'd ordered. She scoffed, turned on her heel and said it'd only go in the bin anyway. Way to make your customers uncomfortable. .....and then to keep shooting us foul looks everytime she cleared tables around work here. Not us. How did we know that's not what we ordered. It WAS brownies and ice cream. Just presented differently than we were expecting.

Max Brenner Chocolate Bar: Utterly bitterly disappointed. I have recently come to enjoy a fantastc dessert: Dessert Pizza. The first time I tried it was down the gold coast and I'd score the restaurant 12/10. This was followed by eating it again at a coopers plains pizzaria that I would score 11/10 even though it was on a gluten free base. My expectations were something in the line of: 1. A fresh berry topping drizzled with berry liquor and three types of chocolate. 2. An orange mascapone cointreu pizza drizzled in dark chocolate and toasted almond flakes 3. Cream cheese and toasted nut crumble drizzled in chocolate 2 ways. Instead: I got a woolies pizza base covered in melted cadbury with cornflakes, cocopops, and marshmallows. Point 1: A pizza has cheese. This didnt. Point 2: A chocolate overload needs to have a contrasting flavour (such as sour berries or mascapone). Instead it was covered in additional sugar. Point 3. The pizza base was rubbish. The words 'utterly bitterly disappointed' do not come anywhere close to the level of disappointment that I feel that I didnt go to McDonalds for dessert instead. Because thats what I got. -5 / 10
