The Mayberry Panthers Choir received an AMAZING opportunity!! We are invited to travel to New York City and perform in a concert on the famed Lincoln Center Stage!! We were hand selected by the composer to participate in this concert based on his impression of our fantastic choir when we had the chance to work with him in 2011.We have 40 students and 25 parents and staff that are excited to embark on this adventure in the Big Apple. Our trip is scheduled for March but we have to have all monies raised and turned in by January 2017! This means we have a great deal of money to fundraise in a short amount of time in order to ensure students of all financial backgrounds are able to realize this once in a lifetime dream. We are a Title 1 school meaning we have a high percentage of kids from low-income families with approximately 80% of our 650 student population on free or reduced lunches. This is a major expense for these kids and their families. With a calculated total cost of $122,500.00 to cover performance fees, travel for 65 people by air, lodging, food and sightseeing expenses, we need donations from people like you to help to make this dream into a reality. You can make a big difference with even a small gift. All donations will be processed through the Mayberry Middle School New York Choir Trip.
