What does this have to do with a skin care boutique? Excellent question. I was a cosmetologist before medical school. No, stop laughing! I am serious! In fact, I still have my cosmetology license. I spent summers as a teen on my trampoline with baby oil and tanned myself into oblivion. I found that in my 30's, I was having problems with sun spots and wrinkles. I started using Obaji and having microdermabrasion and IPL. I was amazed and the difference in my skin texture and the sun spots would literally fall off a week later. AHHH..Simpson's' music in the background... I have grown up in Colorado, and with the exception of a 1.5 year jaunt to the UK and getting my MD and residency outside of Colorado ( 7 years), I have always lived here. My wonderful parents still live here. I love everything about Colorado Springs. The weather, the active population, Garden of the Gods, the Air Force Academy, the hiking and biking groups! I am am proponent of wellness and feeling happy. I still practice emergency medicine but I am branching out to provide happiness and wellness. What is wellness? I personally consider wellness to be an important part of life. We ignore this often due to being very busy and doing for others before ourselves. ( Especially our kiddos) So, here we are. I want to provide every wonderful treatment and skin care technique that I have learned and studied over the years. Why? Wellness, happiness and confidence. To provide physician level skin care recommendations and treatments. Our goal is to be an active partner and contributor in our local community by providing individualized skin care recommendations, unique treatments and outside referrals as needed. We love our teens and a significant portion of our business is to educate teens about skin health and sunblock. Giving back to our community is an important aspect as well. We will have a nonprofit component added shortly.
