MedHelp’s Mission: MedHelp was founded in 1982 as the first URGENT CARE/Family Practice in Birmingham. Open 7 days a week with convenient hours and no appointments needed... we are dedicated to providing the best possible healthcare with the least amount of hassle and wasted time. Our doctors and nurse practitioners are also available by appointment so you can choose a MedHelp provider as your primary care physician. We always have a healthcare provider on call to answer our patients' questions. All MedHelp physicians are board certified and practice the full range of Family Practice and Internal Medicine. We have a provider managed weight loss program (Eric Westerlund, CRNP), nutrition and bio-identical hormone replacement (Dr. Vaughn) and primary care dermatology (Dr. Willoughby). MedHelp has a state-of-the-art medical records system, which enables us to provide the latest technology for our patients. We have digital X-ray equipment that provides clear images for our doctors to interpret. Our in-house lab has a full-time lab director and is fully CLIA certified. It is our goal to follow the Golden Rule - treating our patients as we would like to be treated. The physicians at MedHelp are dedicated to helping people whether they are sick of body or of spirit. It is always our intention to honor Christ as we serve our patients. MedHelp is honored to be on the teaching staff for both the UAB and the University of South Alabama Schools of Medicine. We consider it a privilege to train the next generation of physicians. We accept most insurance coverage and are happy to file your claim for you. If you are a new patient and do not have insurance, we require a $150 deposit. For our return patients, we require a $100 deposit at the time of service. Welcome to the MedHelp Family!
