We at Meet the Need want to take a quick moment to thank everyone who helped make the 2013-2014 Winter Clothing Project a big success. With your support, we were able to donate 65 winter coats plus toques, mitts, scarfs and blankets to people in need in the Ottawa area. While we were able to bless many people this past winter, the success of the program has meant that there is not much left in our inventory for next year. Because of this, Meet the Need is announcing the launch of its ‘Spring Cleaning’ Winter Clothing Drive. If you or anyone you know has new or gently used winter clothing items that are taking up closet space, then please consider donating them to the Winter Clothing Project. We are in particular need of women’s winter coats. If you would like to donate, talk to Greg, Jana, Wilson, or Sandie on Sunday mornings at All Nations Church or email email@example.com. Thanks again for your support! - The Meet the Need Team P.S. Meet the Need has some exciting new project opportunities ahead. We’ll keep you all posted as our visioning team hammers out the details, but keep an eye out for new ways in which you can invest directly into the lives of those burdened by challenging circumstances.
Winter Clothing Project UPDATE: Hey everyone! In the past month, Meet the Need has given out almost 40 coats to marginally housed individuals. The requests for winter coats keep coming in, and we are need of women's winter coats and plus sizes for both men and women. If you or anyone you know can help us out in any way it would be appreciated. Thanks for your support!

As always we'll do a little briefing before heading to the streets so that everyone feels comfortable. If you have any further questions, please email email@example.com. Hope to see you there!
A big thank you to our Lunch Project volunteers who took part in our May distribution! In total, twenty-six delicious lunches were handed out to people living on the streets, and the team was able to make some good connections through conversation and prayer. Many individuals opened up to us, and we will continue to pray for each and every one of them to receive God's love and freedom. If serving and investing in the homeless in Ottawa is something that is on your heart, please email Sandie at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer for one of our monthly distributions. The next distribution is Saturday, June 21st. #ottawa #love #homeless #thelunchproject #ancottawa

The Meet the Need team is excited to announce that it will be undertaking a new project called The Lunch Project! WHAT IS THE LUNCH PROJECT? On the last Saturday of the month, a team of volunteers distributes hot lunches to the homeless and those living on the streets in downtown Ottawa. While feeding the hungry is an important pillar of The Lunch Project, we are also looking to connect with the homeless, build rapport with them, pray with them, and let them know that they are seen and loved.
