Mélange means "a mix of things" in French. I chose the name because I share equal passions for personal style (both male and female) and home decor. My belief is that everyone has a unique style that should be embraced. The problem, however, is that often we can't see the forest for the trees when it comes to our homes and our wardrobes. We buy random pieces that we think we like and hope that we can make them work when we get home. What I have found is that most of the time, these purchases are regretted. This is where I step in. I will take those regrets and accessorize them into loved and lasting personal pieces. I will rearrange, edit, consult, ask questions and accessorize until your space or closet feels more stylish and more you than it ever has. I'll use exactly what you have on hand, but I'll leave you with a helpful list of suggestions. Feel free to use me for carrying out those ideas or go for it yourself with your newfound inspiration. (Just remember to keep me updated on all of your awesome work!) This is my specialty and I wish I could do it for everyone. I was an interior design and a fashion major in undergrad. I used this experience while working as an assistant buyer at Neiman Marcus and now I'm thrilled to begin this new styling career. Throughout my post-college years, I have spent free time and weekends catering to friends, those friends' parents, family and acquaintances doing just what I am now implementing via my business plan. What a thrilling time! My mother is also one of most talented interior decorators that I know. I have spent years shadowing, shopping and assisting during her projects and I am now applying those styling lessons everyday.
