Providing individual or group fitness training sessions across Worcestershire for people aged 18 and above. Currently available during evenings and weekends only, outdoors and at your home. Can train people of varied fitness ability. Not qualified to train people with severe epilepsy or disability. Sessions usually run for 60 mins, including the first session which includes completing a health questionnaire and discussing goal setting. Depending on fitness level and type of programme, sessions can also be run for 20, 30, 40 or 50 minutes. Specialising in female training, particularly for new or busy mums. Cost of sessions are discussed on enquiry. Melanie Hinds: As well as being a Personal Trainer, I am an outdoor Fitness Instructor and Circuit Trainer taking classes of 10 - 60 people around parks and open spaces in Worcester and Cheltenham. I also provide nutrition guidance, and run a health and wellbeing site on Facebook and online called: thehealthylivingblog.info I keep myself fit with a range of circuits, calisthenics and plyometric training, yoga and cycling. I have run three marathons and completed numerous half marathons and endurance courses. Qualifications: Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing & Circuit Training Level 4 Award in Nutrition, Royal Society for Public Health All registered by Ofqual. Session aims My sessions are about getting you moving, using a range of exercises, using your own weight and some free weights to help you get fitter and stronger. This can be done outdoors or at home, and depending on your level of fitness and flexibility, sessions could involve jumping, running, holding, resisting, lifting and carrying. Checking you out: You will complete a health questionnaire before starting any exercises which will help me to understand about any issues or risks. We’ll discuss your aims - what it is that you want to achieve - and set some goals and plan the exercises to help you achieve them. What happens during sessions? You will move! We’ll do a warm up and follow this with a range of exercises. These could be a mix of low intensity with high repetitions, and high intensity with low repetitions. This will help to build stamina, strength and endurance, and burn excess calories and fat. As you move faster and at a higher intensity your heart rate will rise as more blood and oxygen is required to help you. It’s natural to feel a little breathless at this point. With you warmed we can work out more safely and increase the intensity some more to help you push yourself that bit harder. Rest times will be included as well as a cool down. How will it be right for me? Your sessions will be tailored to help you achieve your goals, and may be targeted at particular areas such as legs, bums, tums, arms, back or core. They can also support you with another fitness goals such as training for running events. What about weight training and gym sessions? The weights I use go up to 10kg which can be used to build strength and endurance with multiple repetitions. I’m not currently offering gym based workouts or heavy weight training or lifting, however I can recommend other experts in that field if that’s what you’re looking for, please message me for details.
