The Melbourne School of Graduate Research (MSGR) has an important role within the University’s research environment, offering a range of research training & professional development programs to grad researchers and supervisors, that contribute to the success of our candidates and consequently, to the research reputation of the University. MSGR is responsible for: - Oversight of research higher degree candidature and management of all research higher degree examinations. - Advice, training and support for University staff who work with graduate researchers, including supervisors, graduate coordinators and RHD specialists in the Faculties and Graduate Schools. - Quality assurance in research higher degrees. - Research training and professional development programs for all graduate researchers and a dedicated graduate centre, exclusively for candidates. - Support in the development of a strong interdisciplinary community of scholars through communications which inform and connect graduate researchers, academics and professional staff. - Strategic planning, policy development and performance management in research training.
