Our mission is to educate and coordinate individuals and groups to save, improve, reuse, and maintain architecturally and historically significant buildings, neighborhoods, parks, and cultural artifacts of Shelby County, Tennessee. Memphis Heritage, Inc. was founded in 1975 as a non-profit educational and charitable organization. From our efforts to save the Hill mansion on Union Avenue to our efforts today encompassing the entire city, Memphis Heritage keeps working to preserve our area's rich history. As Memphis Heritage celebrates its 40 year anniversary, it continues to be the voice for the preservation of the Memphis area's architectural heritage.

In 1910, the National Urban League (NUL) started a movement in the African-American community toward establishing economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. Are you ready to join "The Movement"? If so, look no further! As one of the city’s largest networks of young leaders, we are recognized throughout the community for our members accomplishments. Being a part of MULYP not only serves as a great networking tool, but also provides a structured way to volunteer, enhance your leadership ability and ultimately give back to our community! MULYP will work to fill a void in the Memphis community by attracting, assisting and supporting the next generation of Memphis leadership to create positive change.
