Metamorphosis is a full-service makeup company, specializing in a natural "no makeup" look including beauty, corrective, and ultra-realistic character makeups through airbrushing and traditional application. Our pursuit of realism utilizing subtly and detail in makeup, sculpture, translucent materials and painting is innovative. Skills and services include CG makeup design, period makeup, research, color-matching, and continuity. We bring a vast knowledge of cosmetic products, and are experienced with moldmaking, producing and handling prosthetics, hairpieces, dentures, and custom contacts. Metamorphosis owner Crist Ballas, who studied under the legendary Dick Smith, has been a dedicated professional in the makeup and film industry for over twenty years. In addition to his technical and artistic expertise, he cultivates a strong rapport with both cast and crew, which enhances the creative process and maintains an atmosphere of mutual respect and collaboration.
