PROGRAMS Casa de Paz -- A Community Development Project AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM -- HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE & TUTORING This program will help students with homework and class projects. The idea is to reinforce the learning process through their homework. The tutor will also be able to review with the child the material covered in school on that particular day. MUSIC / ARTS Through this program, children will have the opportunity to take different classes in the arts like singing, percussion instruments, dance, and visual arts. Throughout the school year, children will prepare for two presentations for parents and the community, in December and the spring. URBAN GARDEN Through this program, children will learn the importance of growth, responsibility for the development of plants, and will be able to bless the land of their own community. Children will be responsible for planting and maintaining the development of the flowers, fruit, and vegetable plants. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT This program will focus on the holistic growth of the child, catering to the needs of social stability, emotional, physical, spiritual and mental development. TEEN STAFFING & DEVELOPMENT This program will focus on hiring high school students, and provide more than just a place of employment; it will be a place of development and where they will be able to connect with a mentor.
