The Sparks Clinic is located in Franklin, a calm area to the south of Nashville. Our staff is highly trained and ready to work with you to provide you with the best therapy approach. In 1999, Dr. Amanda Sparks-Bushnell finished her Chief Residency in Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Her dream was to open a practice that was a unique balance of common sense, compassion, and exciting neuroscience advances. The Sparks Clinic began with that dream, and has been nurtured into the premier practice that it is today. While the clinic has grown, it has stayed true to its founding princple of Patient Centered Collaborative Treatment. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an advanced technology for the treatment of depression and other disorders. It uses magnetic pulses that stimulate the brain to activate and repair the neurons in a noninvasive treatment setting. NeuroStar TMS Therapy® is indicated for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder in adult patients who have failed to achieve satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant medication at or above the minimal effective dose and duration in the current episode. TMS is FDA cleared for patients who have not benefited from prior antidepressant treatment.
