After Jan. 1, participating dental clinics will start booking free appointments for this charitable program, which serves low-income children. Whether college-bound or suiting up for your first post-grad job, the MDA recommends all young adults follow these tips for good oral health. * Brush for two minutes, twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste that has earned the ADA Seal of Acceptance. * Floss daily. * Eat a balanced diet. * See your dentist regularly. * And for gum chewing students…in addition to brushing and flossing, chewing sugarless gum with the ADA Seal of Acceptance for 20 minutes following meals has been clinically proven to help prevent tooth decay.
