At Minnesota Oncology, we join together with you in a firm partnership to construct the best treatment plan for you based on the most current research evidence and technology available – while offering practical help and emotional support for you and your family. Unlike traditional hospital and large clinic settings, Minnesota Oncology is a specialized medical group dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of various cancers and blood disorders, all in a non-threatening, neighborhood environment. We currently have more than 70 providers serving in nine clinic locations across the Twin Cities area. Minnesota Oncology also provides you access to the latest clinical trials through our affiliation with US Oncology, one of the nation’s largest cancer treatment and research networks. Because cancer is not one disease, but a term covering many distinct diseases, many types of treatment are required and no one treatment is right for everyone. That’s why Minnesota Oncology physicians customize a course of treatment to meet each individual’s needs and condition. It’s also why our staff includes specialists in medical oncology, hematology, gynecologic oncology, radiation therapy and thoracic oncology – all working together to treat the “whole patient,” not just the disease. What’s more, having physicians with related cancer care specialties allows us more opportunities to integrate therapies that benefit the patient. It’s a team approach that includes everyone from physicians and nurses to laboratory technicians, pharmacists, radiation specialists and other support staff…and of course, individual patients and their families.
