Taking the glorious Gospel and God's healing power to where His light is dim, and where His voice is heard small.
The general purpose and vision of Momentum Builders is to be a light and witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all creation throughout the world in response to the Great Commission; while being an example to the believer in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity; building momentum and making a difference in the world by integrating spiritiual, educational, vocational, medical and other humanitarian assistance into local cultures. We welcome and invite you to partner with us as we proclaim the truth of God's Word, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and work of the Holy Spirit to both unreached and receptive peoples worldwide.

Its hard to put today’s mission’s adventures into a single post…we could discuss the snake we had a close encounter with while unloading today’s purchases for an upcoming Easter outreach; we could discuss visiting discount stores in three shopping centers across town to find those supplies; we could discuss visiting the house that we want to rent for a final inspection; we could discuss looking through someone’s junk sale trying to get good deals on the appliances we have to buy before moving into a house (refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, etc). The adventure that tops them all is the shipping container…. Weeks ago we got an update from our shipping container company indicating that our container would arrive today in Brisbane and would make it up the coast to us about a week later. The excitement that brought us this past week was tangible! That was confirmed again this past week so we have been pushing hard to find a house in our budget, in a safe neighborhood, in time to provide a delivery address. Finally late this week we found a house that would work and placed a deposit on the 12-month contract with a planned move in date next weekend around the time when the shipping container would arrive. Today when we hadn’t heard anything from the delivery agent, we did a random internet search to see if you can track a container and found out that you can! We searched our container number and found out that it had indeed been delivered to port today!! Only not in Australia….but in Taiwan!!! What a shock! The best we can tell from the online information is that it is waiting to be loaded on another ship and based on the expected delivery date posted, it may be another MONTH before we get our things. Not the news we expected to hear today! We hadn’t planned to pay double rent for this month and we don’t think the rental agency will hold the house for a month so it looks like we might be hunting for some camping gear to go ahead and move into the empty rental house!! Looks like a new adventure will be starting! Following God…the greatest adventure ever!!
Glory to God! He is faithful! When we felt led that it was time to leave for Australia and announced a specific date that we were flying out, our house was still on the market. We moved forward with departure plans in obedience and faith. Within only a couple of days, we received an offer on our house and today, we closed on our house!! Our house is officially sold! Praise God!! Thanks for everyone who has been praying for it to sell! So blessed by God's faithfulness!!
Thank-you for helping launch us to Australia! We've found the harvest field truly is plentiful...and it just got a few more full-time laborers last week! We left on one-way tickets from Tulsa, OK on February 27th, arriving here in Australia early morning March 1st. Again, thanks to all who have helped launch us. Look forward to a post later today on how just $4,149 will equip us to go bush! We welcome and invite you to partner with us as we proclaim the truth of God's Word, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the person and work of the Holy Spirit to both us reached and receptive peoples worldwide.
A call for help... The shipping container arrives tomorrow! We'll be loading over the weekend and could really use some help loading the household and ministry materials. Friday - Packing, staging, and pre-loading activities beginning at 5 pm. Saturday - Stage 1 container loading 2:30-5:00 pm. Monday - Stage 2 container loading beginning at 3 pm. We gladly welcome all friends (or anyone who would just like to ship us out of the country!). If you are available and plan to help, please message us to let us know. Thanks so much. We really appreciate it!
We are excited to share that after a year of preparation and transition, we are being led that NOW is the time for our family to leave for Australia. We are scheduled to fly to Australia three weeks from today, Thursday, February 27, with our shipping container leaving earlier that week. Please continue to pray with us as we finalize packing, complete transition details, and continue raising support to step into all that God is calling us to do!
Many of you have been following our transition from the workplace to full time missions over the last year. We've really appreciated your prayers and support. We are excited to share that we both heard a very clear message from God this week at the prayer conference...our timing has been expedited and the time to go is NOW! This upcoming month will be very busy and exciting! We are believing to have our house packed and ready to leave on a shipping container in approximately three weeks. We'll spend a few additional weeks traveling and raising support, and expect to launch out around the last week of February! Please be praying with us as we work to get everything accomplished, for the sale of our house, increased finances to purchase additional ministry resources to take with us, for moving related costs, and for increased long-term partnership support. We are excited to see God's plan in action and we are looking forward to arriving in Australia soon!
We've been having a great time praying out God's plan for 2014 at the WOC prayer conference this week! Exciting times ahead!
Thinking about our Colorado trip two weekends ago where we were able to share in two services at New Life Christian Center followed by three additional meetings of sweet fellowship with area pastors. What joy to be about God's plan and we're looking forward to more trips after the holidays. One of our favorite parts of the weekend...Hannah and Maggie sang "I am a Promise" as a duet in one of the services! We're called by God as a family and its wonderful to see the way that God has prepared the girls and their excitement for ministry!
Put your faith in God's Word and you will walk in victory. You will be an overcomer in every situation...for God has made you more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. (1 John 5:4, Rom 8:37)
O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. You both precede and follow me and place your hand of blessing on my head. -Psalm 139:1-3,5 TLB
With a heart full of gratitude for God's goodness, faithfulness, and great love toward us, we praise Him for all He's done and we worship Him for who He is...#thankful
Praise the Lord for a weekend of divine contacts and connections in Colorado! Heading home...
Happy New Year. May Faith, Hope and Love be yours in 2015!
May your hearts be lifted in praise and worship this Christmas for God's wonderful gift of Jesus. Merry Christmas from Australia!
JESUS KNOWS. And He can change everything! This simple and poignant message was introduced as a media outreach campaign when I worked at Impact Productions years ago. A billboard banner with this message hung in the office foyer for a period of time...and I can still picture it 17 years later. When our family has walked through difficult times throughout the years, we have returned to this profound message. If you are reading this today, and find yourself in the midst of difficulty and you don't know where to turn, I encourage you to turn to Jesus. Run to Him, not away from Him. Jesus knows all about the circumstances you find yourself facing today. In Him is Truth. He is the Way. He's a way-maker! In Him is Life. He can bring healing and significance to your life. He feels the pain that may be in your heart...and He wants to bring healing to you. He wants you to lean on Him, trust completely in Him (not only in your heart, but in your mind, too!). Cast your cares on Him. He cares for you! Feel His arms of love embrace you today. JESUS KNOWS. AND HE CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING. Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP) Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. God Bless You today as you draw near to Him.
We have the wonderful opportunity to minister the Gospel and share about Australia in two services in a church in Colorado Sunday as well as have meetings with another couple of pastors over the extended weekend. Because of the winter weather forecasted at home, we quickly packed and left town early so that we would be able to make it. That meant our youngest joyfully celebrated her 7th birthday today in the car and then at the hotel tonight. Now I wish I could take a snapshot of the moment....the girls are contentedly sleeping on the hotel pull out sofa bed, Brian is preparing at the desk to minister Sunday, and I (Sarah) am sitting on the hotel bed, preparing additional newsletters for distribution. We're happy to be together and about the work God has called us to do. Pray for us and those we minister to this weekend and that we'll have divine connections with those God is calling to help us step out in full time ministry. We're excited to be about the Father's business!!
