The first batch of state field pics are now online. More to come soon.
The state field scores are now correct on our website. I apologise for all the confusion, it appears I made a formatting error that threw all the scores out.
A big thank you to everyone who helped out worth the state field and those who attended. It was great fun and a huge success. Monaro Archers brought home 1 gold and 3 silvers in the medal tally.
It was good to see all rhe members who turned up for our first working bee for the year. thanke again Mic and Aiden
Ladies and Gents, You can now pay your yearly or 10 visit range fees by credit card. We can email you an invoice to do it. So if you are keen please let us know. We are also working on a way to accept credit cards at the range and pay online through our site. Cheers Adam
We are starting to look at ideas for new shirts. If you have any ideas for the design please let us know. We also want to hear from you if you would like other items such as jumpers/jackets, hats, stubby holders etc. Cheers, Adam
Learn to Shoot procedures have been changed. If you wish to attend you need to email us to reserve a spot. People who just turn up may find that we need to turn them away due to not having enough equipment to allow them to take part.
Final set of State Field scores are now on the website. Thank you to everyone for being patient while we finalise and check the scores. I know the wait can be frustrating but it is hard to avoid as we all work full-time and have families. These will also be forwarded to Archery NSW with the scorecards for records and awards to be processed. Cheers Adam
Some of you may not know that we offer several ways to pay your range fees and some of them offer great savings. $5 - Weekly Fee - The weekly fee is $5 and traditionally was the only way we offered for you to pay your fees. This is a great option for very casual shooters. $40 - 10 Visit Pass - These are cards that cost you $40 and allow you to visit ten times. These are available at all our ranges and can be used at any range regardless of where you bought it. The best part is that a visit lasts one week so if you shoot more than once in the week, you only use one visit. $60 - Six Month Range Pass - A six month pass that can be purchased any range for $60 and covers all your range fees at any range for 6 months. It is a sticker that goes on your AA membership card (if you don't have an AA card yet, we will stick it to a card and put your name on it). $100 - Twelve Month Range Pass - As above, but for 12 months. This represents a saving of $150 if you shoot every week, so it is a great option for regular shooters. Please note that range passes are not transferable, but are replaceable if you lose them. All passes can be purchased by speaking to a committee member, contacting us via Facebook, emailing email@example.com or using the contact form on this site. We accept cash, bank deposit and credit cards (done online through our secure payment provider so email or contact us on Facebook to arrange). Cheers Adam
Just a heads up that the presentation night will be moved to a date TBA in August as just over half the committee will be away on the date it was scheduled for. Cheers, Adam
Hi All, We will be doing a letter box drop in Bungendore tomorrow morning. If you are able to help out meet us at the Queanbeyan clubhouse at 9am.
Hi all, a few updates. - We will be doing another letter box drop in Bungendore in the next few weeks. If you can help please let us know. It will be on a Saturday morning about 9am. - The AGM will be on 12 July 2015 at the Queanbeyan Range. If you have anything you wish to discuss with Ken, Michael or myself before the AGM please do it over the next few weeks as we will be shooting field on Norfolk Island and road tripping to visit some of our old members for the three weeks before the meeting and don't get back until a few days beforehand. - We will be looking for someone to step up into the Secretary role as I will not be standing this year. I have done several years in the role now and will be standing for VP-Bungendore so I can concentrate on growing that branch. IF you want mor einfo, please let me know. As always, stay safe and shoot straight. Cheers Adam
Lest We Forget
EXCITING NEWS! On the weekend the committee voted to reduce membership fees. This means that as of now new memberships or renewals will cost less. The new fees look like this: Adult - $140 (reduced by $20) Junior - $100 (reduced by $10) There are also huge changes to Family memberships. All family memberships are now $300 regardless of size. The only restrictions are that there can only be two adults on the membership. For a family of five this is a saving of $280 over individual memberships. For a family of three it is a saving of $80. And remember that we still offer the opportunity to pay your membership in regular instalments, as well as paying your range fees in a variety of ways such as: - Weekly - $5 - 10 Visit Pass - $40 ($10 saving) - Yearly - $100 (up to $160 saving)
Hi All, There will be a committee meeting this Sunday (30/11) at the Queanbeyan Range at 8am. I encourage all members to attend as there will be significant discussion regarding the future direction of the club and also about the ArcheryNSW 2015 calendar. To provide some background, the new ArcheryNSW calendar is out and all but one of the events are being held in Sydney. Further to this, we submitted an application to host the State Clout at Bungendore and instead it was given to the same club that has hosted it for the last 3 years. This has reignited questions of if we should reconsider opening dialogue with ArcheryACT to join them as they are closer to us and hold events we can attend without the additional travel and accommodation costs. There is also the issue of why would we attend ACT events instead of NSW events but still continue to send a portion of our membership money to NSW. Anyone who attends is welcome to speak at the meeting and make your voice heard. We want to make the decisions that align with what our members want and also want to pass on all the relevant information.
Our first mini working bee at Bungendore. Unfortunately we are down to one whipper snipper due to technical difficulties :)
We apologise profusely to anyone who went to the Bungendore range on 2 August and discovered we were not there. There was a mix up with calendars and I was using an older version that had incorrect dates. Our next shoot at Bungendore will be on 23 August. - Adam
Hi All, I have been very busy building the latest updates to our website and it is just about done. The site is going to go offline tonight and should be back tomorrow. It is another big improvement to the site with a lot of features I didn't have ready for the last release. Cheers Adam
Hi all, it would appear that I forgot to put a time down for the presentation dinner. It will kick off about 7pm. We also need volunteers to come and assist with a letterbox drop in Bungendore on Sunday morning at 9am. We will meet at the train station at Bungendore at 9am.
Website is back up. However we are getting a lot of spam so all accounts need to be registered by an admin now. I will try and create accounts over the next few weeks starting with committee members, if you really want one asap then contact me and I will get it done. We are also looking for another Website Admin to help me out, let me know if you are interested. It is pretty easy and I can teach you everything you need to know. Cheers Adam
Hi All, It appears the website is down and we are getting an account suspended message. I am currently working with our hosting provider to get it fixed but have no idea when it will be back online. - Adam
Hi All, website is going to be offline for a while as we migrate to the new website.
