Stephen Adams founded Moxie in 1999. Adams opened Moxie with the philosophy to have bravery, courage and nerve with knowledge and experience. Through his learning experiences Adams has observed that fear and insecurity hold many hairdressers back. Because of this, he has created a Moxie philosophy that believes to break through this fear we must all push ourselves to have fun and live each day today. As a hairdresser and educator, Adams is most notoriously known for his innovative techniques and creative styles. As a platform artist, he's highly sought to inspire with his crafts and skills with the scissors, along with his motivational messages. Adams has also contributed to stories in top consumer publications including InStyle, Allure, Minneapolis St. Paul, City Pages, Flaunt magazines, and has been featured in SalonToday, Launch Pad, Modern Salon, American Salon, Paul Mitchell's Cut and Dry and Behindthechair.com.
