Located in Little Tokyo, Mr. Pizza offers variety of pizzas, pastas, appetizers and salads in a friendly and modern environment. Mr. Pizza makes pizza the old-fashioned way. Once an order is received, we make our pizza crust by kneading fresh live dough (not frozen) and spinning it in the air by hand. We then carefully place fresh toppings one-by-one and bake it on a screen grill without using any oil to create a light, non-greasy taste. We have a variety of unique crusts to choose from including broccoli mousse, egg tart, gold, plain, and thin. Mr. Pizza store interior combines a natural and sophisticated, modern design where our customers can feel cozy and comfortable while enjoying a delicious meal. With two spacious floors and a friendly staff, Mr. Pizza is the perfect place for anything from a quick lunch or dinner with friends. We also have a party room, so come and celebrate your next special even with us!

www.philippes.com www.twitter.com/philippetheog Welcome! To Philippe the Original. "Home of the french dip sandwich". Located in downtown Los Angeles,CA. (Official Facebook Page of Philippes) * maintained by the partnership of the restaurant. Located at 1001 N. Alameda St. Los Angeles, CA. 90012, Philippe the Original was opened in 1908 by Philippe Mathieu. One day in 1918, Mathieu dropped a french roll into the roasting pan of hot juice drippings of beef. The customer, a police officer, said he would take the sandwich anyway...and the "french dip sandwich" was born. Named for the french roll?, the officers name being french?, or for Mathieu himself?...the answer is lost to history. Philippes was purchased by the Martin brothers Frank, Dave, and Harry in 1927 for around $5000. They operated Philippes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until WWII. In 1951 Philippes was forced to move to make way for the 101 freeway, and remains in that location today.
