Description

The purpose of the page is to provide a source of communication for the members of the MSU Denver GIS club. It will provide a place for students to get help with homework, whether they are looking to meet with people to study or to ask a quick question about a project/homework, as well as serve as a message board for meet-up times or special events coming up. The mission is to promote GIS and Remote Sensing education both on and off campus by providing regular study groups and establishing connections between the academic and professional GIS communities. There are many reasons to join: **Study Group: Bring your labs, projects, and technical questions to get help and feedback from others. This is a chance to find a partner or small group of people to team up with in order to tackle all of your semester assignments. Teaming up will help you gain a better understanding of the material and help get the assignments done faster. **Expand Your Skills: Many of us have different skills sets and knowledge about GIS software and workflows. Join us to discover ways to enhance your skill sets. **Events: Learn about important events and classes going on in the area. The club's goal is to get the have members attend events such as GIS in the Rockies and other organizational meet-ups in order to network and get their names in the industry. It hopes to get information to attend classes that will enhance member skill sets, such as the ENVI classes held by Exelis. It also wishes to get some guest speakers to come to the meetings. **SOCIAL GATHERINGS: Of course, all of our work means that we need time to play.
