ABOUT Owner, Jewelry Maker, Rock Hound, Bee Steward: Jody Hymes BIOGRAPHY My life is like the Buddhist Wheel--spiraling through life changes, expanding upon what came before, evolving into new futures. Maybe you experience this, too? The Mystic Wheel image expresses this process. With a strong intuitive gift, I spiraled forward to work for many years as a psychic consultant. My love of rocks and intuitive ear lead me to become a “crystal whisperer” and mineral dealer. Reading Earth Energy came naturally to me as a Feng Shui practitioner, dowser, and now honeybee steward. Recently, I closed a brick-and-mortar bead, jewelry, and mineral store outside Asheville, NC and returned to the “left coast” settling in Portland, Oregon. Inventory from the store that wanted to come along on the Next Great Adventure moved west with me. As a bead and craft supplier, Mystic Wheel sells single focus beads, strands, and other size groupings (lots). I have gemstone, glass, and organic material (bone, horn, wood) beads. I also sell jewelry--earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, zipper pulls--that I have made from Mystic Wheel beads. I bring to my jewelry making long years as a “crystal whisperer” that lets me know which beads want to “play” together. I love to work with gemstone beads, and to repurpose vintage beads into new creations. As a beader, I thrive on color, shape, balanced design, and the touch and feel of the bead material. Mystic Wheel sells jewelry that I have made myself to show off what these beads want to do! Mystic Wheel beads, jewelry, and metaphysical rocks are already discounted from their original store retail price, so you always get a good deal. As the store inventory sells, that’s it. They won’t be replenished. That’s the twist. Trusting in the Great Wheel, however, a new product line will surely emerge! Relocating to Portland, I have also decided it is time to downsize and sell off family heirlooms and some of my own rock collection. Hence the collectible offerings and other metaphysical rocks.
