NPCA's Facebook Page Terms of Service The short and sweet version: 1. Remain civil and stay on topic 2. There is a Zero Tolerance policy on using vulgarity, racial slurs, name-calling, pornography or personal attacks 3. People who harass others in the community will be blocked While this is an open forum, NPCA’s Facebook Page policies are pretty simple: Treat others with the same respect you’d want for yourself. 1. The content on the NPCA Facebook is NPCA’s copyrighted property or the copyrighted content of those third parties contributing to the page, which NPCA has the right to use. All trademarks, service marks, trade names, trade dress and other intellectual property rights pertaining to this Facebook Page are owned by NPCA or those contributing to NPCA. 2. We know national park issues can result in differing opinions – we like to hear these – just be respectful if someone has an opposing point of view. There is no need to become vulgar, attack or harass individuals. This is an opportunity to share knowledge and explain your point of view. 3. Stay focused on the issues or stories that are posted. This community was created as a place to discuss NPCA, our national parks, their issues, how you can help, what NPCA is doing to help our national parks, and to share stories that continue to grow your national parks’ passion. 4. If you feel that someone is breaking the Terms of Service – at the top right of their post you can click on the “x” and report the comment as either: Spam or Abuse – we look to our community to help keep this a safe place to share in our passion for our national parks. 5. Do not post spam 6. We do not allow comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity 7. You participate at your own risk, taking personal responsibility for: your comments, your username, and any information provided. 8. Any endorsement or criticism of a political candidate reflects the views of the individual poster, and not those of this organization. 9. The NPCA Facebook page is for your personal, noncommercial use. This page does not constitute or provide legal advice. 10. NPCA has the right to monitor your posts and to remove or modify posts to the NPCA Facebook page at any time and for any reason. NPCA encourages discussion about our national parks and issues that currently affect them. When engaging in a debate, use links to help support your position, do not attack an individual because of their beliefs; help inform others of why it is you feel the way you do. Add that if using links, do not make any false or misleading statements about the sites to which you are linking. Disclaimer: By posting your photo and/or video, you acknowledge that you are the copyright owner in that photo and/or video, each individual contained therein has granted you permission to use his or her likeness and the photo/video does not infringe on anyone's rights. If you post content on the NPCA Facebook page, you grant to NPCA a non-exclusive, sublicensable, irrevocable and royalty-free worldwide license to use all copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, images and likenesses and other intellectual property in and to the content, including photos and videos. This grant includes the rights to use, reproduce, transmit, print, publish, publicly display, exhibit, distribute, comment on, modify, and adapt that content in all media now known or hereafter created.
