Experience:
Steven is a teacher in Accounting, Leadership, Business Management and Marketing working with the North East Business Advisory Service. He has been successfully assisting business owners and operators to establish, develop and improve their organisations throughout Victoria and Southern New South Wales for almost 10 years. Having held teaching and advisory roles for NEBAS, Murray Hume BEC, LaTrobe University, Wodonga TAFE and Riverina TAFE has allowed him to be involved with a wide variety of business and develop skills and experience across a range of industries.
Steven’s professional career has included roles as a Business Manager, Accountant and Financial Controller as well as having help positions on Local and regional Marketing and Business advisory panels and boards. Steven’s key goal is to be able to provide help and advice to small business operators that can be used immediately and make an instant difference to their bottom line.
Joanne Heeps

Joanne has been working with Wodonga TAFE and NEBAS in assisting in the delivery and coordination of small business programs such as New Enterprise Incentive Scheme, NEIS, Apprentice to Business Owner program and Small Business Management workshops. Joanne has over 12 years’ experience in facilitating services across this sector qualified to provide expertise in business management planning, mentoring and growing the business. Joanne’s experience includes employment across industry sectors including manufacturing, tourism and technology. She has a passion for small business development and growth and is active in business groups such as Women in Chamber, Rural Women’s Business Network, International Business Educators Society and the National NEIS Association.

Jonathan has had previous teaching experience encompassing electronics, IT, multimedia/web design and was a small business owner (café), as well as operating his own business consultancy service. Current experience includes teaching Diploma and Advanced Diploma of management and the facilitation of the Albury/Wodonga digital enterprise program covering topics such as; Getting Your business Online, Online Marketing including the use of Social Media, eCommerce, mCommerce, Businesses uses of Mobile Devices and cloud computing as it applies to small business.

He worked as the State Portfolio Manager for JLL, consulting to the ANZ Bank in Melbourne and prior to that spent over five years as a partner with L J Colquhoun & Sons commercial real estate agents. He also spent a decade working in the Investment Banking industry in both Melbourne and London. Jonathan assists with business development and is actively involved in range of services including providing general business advice and mentoring to small business throughout north east Victoria
