Accessibility
All buildings and toilets in Ferry Meadows, including the bird watching hides overlooking the Nature Reserve, are accessible to wheelchair users. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.
Our Site
Most paths within the central area of Ferry Meadows, bounded by the river and Nene Valley Railway, are hard surfaced, relatively flat and suitable for push chairs and wheelchair users. One notable exception is the steeper gradient on the approach to Ham Bridge on the western side of Overton Lake.
Bluebell Wood on the northern side of the River Nene contains some steep slopes and terrain that may present difficulties to wheelchair users, those with restricted mobility or who are visually impaired.

Battery powered mobility scooters are available for visitors with limited mobility for use in Ferry Meadows. There is no charge for these but to ensure availability please pre-book by calling 01733 234193.
