To eliminate usury and increase the purchasing power of its members by enabling them to borrow money at low interest rates. To train and educate its members in business methods and self-government and to help them to realise the value of cooperation and mutual support. To promote democracy by operating through a Board of Directors, Credit Committee and Supervisor Committee, elected by and from its members. To create alternative personal financial services in the community and the place of work under the ownership and direction of its members. Build for the future, for you, your family and your community New Horizons Credit Union is affiliated to the Ulster Federation of Credit Unions New Horizons Credit Union is part of the Resurgam Trust which is a social enterprise group governed by an unpaid board of volunteer directors.
