The faces represent our New Neighbors Club. We are dedicated to helping women find new friends and interests.

Description

Games, gardening, book reviews, trips, movies, and lunch groups bring many hours of enjoyment to our members. We not only have fun together, but also are an integral part of our community through many service projects. To bring together members of the community to help them find new friends and activities and to be an integral part of helping through our many Service Projects.

General Info

Although the club began as a group dedicated to "newcomers" it now welcomes "newcomers" as well as those who have lived in Lubbock several years and have had a change in lifestyle, such as retirement or the lose of a spouse. Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of the month. Each year our club has fund raising events to raise funds of our service projects. This is a very important part of our club's year. The club takes an interest in the civic and social welfare of the community by actively participating in many community service projects throughout the year. For example, several members regularly drive routes for Means on Wheels. Other service projects, to name a few, include the South Plains Food Bank, Family Guidance an Outreach Center, Hospice of Lubbock, and the Texas South Plains Honor Flight.
