Newport Harbor 14, Riverside Poly 2 RIVERSIDE — Senior goalie Carlee Kapana matched a season high with 19 saves in Friday's nonleague game. Chanel Schilling had four goals, an assist and a steal for Newport Harbor (21-6). Ellie Reid had three goals and an assist, while Kate Pipkin scored on two penalty shots. Emma Erickson, Katie Kearns, Kate Yasko, Rachel Whitelegge and Sammie Garcia added single goals. Newport Harbor, ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, awaits the release of the Division 1 playoff brackets Sunday at 9 a.m.
Newport Harbor 11, Santa Margarita 3 RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA — Ellie Reid scored four goals for the Sailors in Thursday's nonleague road game. Isabel Leveque and Kate Pipkin scored twice for Newport Harbor, while Emma Erickson, Chanel Schilling and Rachel Whitelegge added one goal each. The Sailors (20-6) close out their regular season Friday at Riverside Poly.
