Please when fishing the lakes at newton be aware of these . 1, Barbed hooks only 2, No braid mainline to be used 3, No fixed leads to be used 4, Rig tubing . Minimum length 70cm-28in 5, No standing up holding fish 6, No nuts to be used at any time 7, No unattended rods at any time 8, Mobile phones , radios ect , to be kept on low volume 9, No drunk , intoxicated persons on the premises 10, No open fires 11, Suitable size unhooking mat and landing nets only , at least 40in 12, All litter to be taken away when leaving 13, Clinic or medicarp to be used on all damaged fish 14, Bait boats can be used sensibly (Respect of other anglers ) 15, 3 rods maximum per peg , per person 16, No camping tents / Bivvys only 17, Minimum 12lb main lines 18, No fish to be sacked THESE RULES ARE IN PLACE FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR FISH AND OUR ANGLERS . Newton lakes is a new venue with the main lake sizing at 2.75 to 3 acre the main lake has 7 peg's at 10ft by 10ft and atlest 40ft apart there's plenty of room for all your gear . The main lake here at Newton is stocked with over 80 carp sizing from 15lbs to 30lbs upwards . #QUICK UPDATE# The opening day start time has been changed to 8am for those of you eager to get your lines wet! Just to clarify the hoodie and T-shirt promotion works on the basis of 24hrs gets you the hoodie and a 12hr session earns you the T-shirt. We have taken on board a resident baliff (Andy Smith) who will be available for any advice, tips and a good photo when needed ;) Also due to the persistant rain over the last few months the roads and paths around the lake are muddy so we do advise wearing appropriate footwear to get to your wood chipped peg so you have been warned! Bait will be available to buy on site which has been feeding the fish since stocking. Keep an eyeout over the coming weeks for more updates and i hope to see you on the bank soon!
