I am a fully qualified REPs Level 3 Personal Trainer, offering 1-2-1 and 2-1 sessions along with nutrition advice. I train clients a Woodbank House, Aberdeen and offer discounts when booking blocks of sessions. Client Testimonials: Cheryl: I started personal training with Nicola earlier this year after attending a class with her in which I was struggling with some of the exercises, I had been out of the gym for a while and needed to retrain my body for some of the movements. Nicola have me some tips and offered to assist me one on one a couple of times a month to build mobility. My goals were to increase mobility, strength and endurance with a view to returning to long distance running. Nicola’s sessions were set up to target my weak points and, even after a couple of sessions, I could feel the strength returning which gave me confidence that also spilled into the classes I was attending. We planned realistic goals of weight loss and worked hard together to achieve them. Nicola is an excellent teacher and is very knowledgeable in her field. She helped to perfect my weight lifting and exercise techniques to help me to get the most out of every session. If you want routine mundane training sessions Nicola is not for you. Nicola puts together personalised different unique training programs using all sorts of different equipment making you feel challenged and wanting more. I feel so much more confident now when using ‘man weights’ and love using them at the gym. Mollie: I have trained with a number of personal trainers over the past few years but Nicola is by far the best and I look forward to every single session! There's none of that ridiculous bullying approach to exercise, it’s challenging yet fun and you learn something new every time you train! Annarita: I am so glad that I went the route of getting Nicola to meet my fitness goals. I first booked a pack of 8 lessons – to be used once a week and at the end of the training period I decided to continue with training sessions because I've definitely seen the results! When I met Nicola I was really confused (and angry), even if I attended the gym 4 times per week and I was controlling my diet, my fat mass was increasing about 500g per month. I feel really frustrated. During the first session with Nicola I explained my issue and we discussed about my goals. I wished to lose weight on my legs and increase my muscles on my chest, shoulders and arms, in order to harmonize my body’s shape. In addition to specific workouts, that Nicola varies every week, she suggested having a diet diary for 5 days and then I shared my notes with her. She was able to find my dietary mistakes and she suggested some small changes that I can easily apply even if I work in the office during the day and because of I’m Italian I have some specific habits/food’s tastes habits from my home country. The results were really amazing, in just two weeks my weight decreased of 0.9kg , my muscle mass increase of 0.5kg (this was absolutely incredible for me because I gain muscle mass in a very slow manner) and my fat mas decreased of 1.8kg – I felt better, my body was tonic and I was not hungry! Nicola is a great Performance Trainer. Her knowledge level, desire to learn, desire to grow professionally, and her true understanding of the physical mechanics of the human body is demonstrated in her ability to train and motivate me during sessions in the gym and outside, in my life. She's been able to help me fully understand how to work out properly and encourages me to push myself. She willingly shares her expertise with you to make the sessions fun, challenging, and a learning experience. She is easy to relate to and has a good sense of humor which helps to motivate me. If you're looking to jump-start to get into shape, definitely contact Nicola! Jean: I began training with Nicola while spending a few weeks in the UK. I was quite nervous, not having used a gym in a while, and was concerned that a younger person would not understand, or respect, the limitations impacting older clients - I'm 70. Nicola met me exactly where I was: she did a comfortable assessment and quickly developed a varied and manageable programme. Amazingly, in two weeks I could see my strength and balance develop – all while feeling safe and having fun with an encouraging and knowledgeable instructor. Can't wait for my return and further tune-ups. Kay: I had my first of 4 sessions with Nicola on 25th February 2014, with the initial goal of "being able to lift a tank". Although Nicola informed me this was an unlikely possibility, she helped me obtain the correct form for lifting techniques of moves such as dead lift and squat. My goal was to build the confidence to be able to walk into any gym and feel assured that I had the knowledge to perform big movements without the risk of injury. As a result I have doubled my squat weight and while fat loss was not my main focus the jeans are definitely looser these days.
