Newfoundland Balance & Dizziness Centre is a newly opened physiotherapy clinic dedicated to providing specialized assessment and treatment services for those with dizziness, loss of balance and fear of falling. NL Balance & Dizziness staff use state of the art balance and vertigo assessment tools to assist with diagnosis of a person’s dizziness and imbalance. The clinic is designed and equipped with fall prevention safety equipment that allows for safe balance training and walking without the fear or risk of falling. Dizziness and vertigo can occur from many conditions such as inner ear crystals or infections; neurological conditions such as stroke; traumatic injuries such as whiplash and concussion; and anxiety or low blood pressure. Proper diagnosis can lead to beneficial treatment that can ease these symptoms and return a person to their normal activities. The staff at NL Balance & Dizziness Centre look forward to helping our community ease the symptom burden and health care concerns caused by dizziness, falls and imbalance.
