Noor Cultural Centre was established in 2003 to provide a welcoming, non-sectarian space for Muslim women and men where they can strengthen their identity as Canadian Muslims. We encourage openness, dialogue, and interaction. We aspire to: - create a dynamic Canadian Muslim community in a congenial environment that will foster a sense of belonging for men and women - establish a cultural centre for Islamic education, and to promote learning in an atmosphere of openness and civility - promote respectful, inclusive dialogue and debate within our community and beyond, and to foster the spirit of inquiry - cultivate an appreciation for the beauty and diversity of Islamic art and culture - develop and foster ties with Canadian universities, and establish scholarships and awards in recognition of higher learning
