We are a non-profit that supports 7-12th grade students that enjoy math & encourage them to pursue STEM fields through participation in team competitions.
Math is more than just formulas. Math is the language of thinking and logic. We welcome 7-12th grade students who enjoy math and thinking in Northern Nevada to join us but be prepared: you will be challenged, you will face problems you have never seen before, and you will learn amazing things and make fantastic new friends! We are a community designed to support 7-12th grade students that enjoy math and encourage them to pursue STEM careers and opportunities in Northern Nevada. We compete in team based math competitions, the primary one being the American Regions Math League (ARML). What is ARML? Think MathCounts on steroids: higher level math, 2 team rounds instead of 1, and 15 members on a team instead of 4. It is about using all your math skills in a creative way to solve very challenging problems as a team. It is, simply, very cool! Show our students that you believe math matters by becoming a Community Supporter!

Hi, @reno_hub Thank you for following. We're changing the face of math in Reno!
Student to math teacher, "When will I use this?" Teacher, "every time you have a problem and use thought and logic to solve it."
The Northern Nevada Math Club is working to change opportunities and drive motiviation for 1st-12th grade students next year with a series of math competitions AND a series of engineering challenges. If you want to help make Reno/Sparks the place to be for families with kids interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics ((STEM), then we need to talk!
When was the last time your child saw you do math and it didn't involve... well... you know, cursing? Stop Telling & Show Math Matters!
Reminder: no practice this weekend. Enjoy the day off and be ready to dig in and focus on May 3rd!
