Norwegian Wood, Bournemouths' original coffee shop / cafe. We serve traditional English food including all day breakfasts, steaks, toasties, baguettes, omelettes, burgers, jacket spuds and daily specials. Everything is cooked to order in a fab atmosphere.

Description

The Norwegian Wood was the first coffee lounge to open in Bournemouth in the mid sixties. It was named after the Beatles record that was in the charts at the time and is now a shrine to the band. The walls are covered with pictures and memorabilia of the fab four. It has been owned and run by Tony & Lindsey for the last twenty five years. Lindsey runs the show these days and it must be said that she does an amazing job at creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food is amazing as well. Predominately English it includes all day breakfasts, toasties, baguettes, burgers, omelettes, steaks, salads, jacket spuds, main meals, hot & cold snacks, several daily specials and a dazzling array of fine teas and coffees.
