Bharathanatyam Dance School
Nruthiya Saagaram is the first dance school in Halifax that will focus on traditional and non-traditional dance forms originating from the ancient land of India. The school has now been moved to Toronto offering skype classes for all the students of Halifax. It has been started with the notion to educate and spread the traditional classical dance form of India – Bharathanatyam. Classes will be handled by Ms.Josephine Nithya Babou Josephine Nithya is a disciple of her mother Kalaimamani.Dr.Shanthi Babu. She started her tryst with Bharathanatyam at the age of three. She staged her Arangetram on 7th Aug2004 and has given numerous performances throughout her life. Her passion towards the art prompted her to pursue a Master’s degree in Bharathanatyam (M.F.A) at Kalai Kaviri College of Fine Arts, Tiruchirapalli,India. She is currently pursuing her graduate studies (M.B.A) at the Sobey School of Business, Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

J.L. Ilsley High School is a Canadian high school located in Spryfield in the western part of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
