Nurturing Nexus is an organization founded on the principles of love, community, partnerships, and education. Our core belief is tied to the idea that love does, love wins, love acts, love never fails. At Nurturing Nexus we understand no one person or organization holds the single key to unlocking every solution for greater needs. We do, however, believe in the power and strength of community. Through committed partnerships with corporate sponsors and other nonprofits, 3-5 years on average, we directly address the variety of needs encountered. Including: Gardening: beginning with research on the locale, we start with containers and build to extensive community gardens in all climates and conditions. Medical: through basic medical assessments and population needs, we recruit the best medical partner to address those needs immediately and longterm. Job creation: by utilizing the unique skill sets offered through various nonprofit programs, our clients and friends are able to have pride in building knowledge and income for themselves, often for the first time in their lives. Community: we are adamant about tearing down stigmas of shame attached to programs designed to help those in great need. We teach those in need how to both give and receive. We address ways of building a community with deep roots, working together in pride, enjoying the benefits of cooperation instead of division. Cultural Diversity: From our home in Cincinnati, Ohio to Indian Reservations across the US to obscure areas and populations across the globe, we seek to have people not only reclaim their own heritage, but to embrace the importance of diversity on every level. Volunteering: getting out and giving back is what we believe in. We seek our volunteers in retirement homes, shut-ins, MRDD homes and facilities. We foster children and animals, we embrace homeless, orphans and widows. Everyone matters, everyone has something to offer, everyone wants to be wanted. You are invited to join us. Stray Animal Adoption Program (SAAP) is an all- volunteer, non-profit organization that exists to rescue, protect, and provide care for at risk pets. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets. We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are microchipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you? We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.

The Ohio Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention has been at the forefront of a wide range of suicide prevention initiatives -- each designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. We are investing in groundbreaking research, new educational campaigns, innovative demonstration projects and critical policy work. And we are expanding our assistance to people whose lives have been affected by suicide, reaching out to offer support and offering opportunities to become involved in prevention. We are increasing the number of community-based chapters, now at 50, with two-dozen more in development. And we have a growing list of friends and supporters leading a grassroots constituency that can advocate for the policies and legislation at the state and federal levels to advance suicide prevention. With a suicide attempt estimated to occur every minute of every day in the United States and over 36,000 lives lost each year, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.
