Politically, South Asia comprises of 8 countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. However, this club is open to any individual wanting to participate in South Asian activities.
SASDA was established with the goal of promoting awareness of South Asian culture and providing opportunities for social interactions. It further aims at promoting cross cultural integrity, academic and professional ethics and values. SASDA wishes to emphasize cultural diversity. The association serves as a platform for both newly admitted and existing students to interact with each other and have a better understanding of the student life at NYUCD from a South Asian perspective. Some of the events we have planned for this year include: Potlucks Outreach programs Movie nights Tutorials for D1 and D2 Mixers Eid/Diwali Banquet Community service events Bollywood/Bhangra Dance Lessons We're open to any suggestions or new ideas to help you with your dental experience at NYUCD.
