He was born in Berkeley, California and graduated from Skyline High School in Oakland, California. He attended Reed College and completed his undergraduate studies in Biology. Subsequently he attended the University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. His focus is on preventive dentistry, implantology and cosmetic dentistry.
