PTO News Don't forget to turn in your Box Tops! The competition runs through next Friday (Sept 18th). Advisory classes are competing against each other - help your class come out on top! Thank you to everyone who purchased Entertainment Books. We appreciate your support. Mark your calendars! Entertainment Night is scheduled for Monday, Nov 2nd (no school Tuesday) from 6:00 - 10:00 pm. Interested in helping to plan the event? Contact Laura Shotton at lkshotton@gmail.com. The planning committee will be meeting at Orange Leaf Oakville on Tuesday, September 29th at 6:45 pm. Did you know that with budget cuts, district funding is only available for 6 OMS activities/clubs this year? The District will only pay for Spartan Squad, NJHS, Yearbook, Art Club, Library Council, and Movie Club. Your support of the PTO has enabled OMS to offer 5 more clubs to the students (National Junior Honor Art Club, Project Lead the Way, Teen Police Academy, Jazz Band and 6th Grade Choir). At a cost of $541 for each of those clubs, the OMS PTO has spent $2705 to have these activities available to our students. Please support your PTO - our goal is to make the middle school experience the best it can be for our students. Like us on Facebook at Oakville Middle School PTO to stay current on PTO news.
