OAI at Quartz Mountain offers two main programs, the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute (OSAI) for youth and the Oklahoma Fall Arts Institute (OFAI) for adults. Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute: OSAI is scheduled for June 14 -29, 2014 at the beautiful Quartz Mountain Arts and Conference Center in Southwestern Oklahoma. The institute is an intensive academy for Oklahoma high school students in the fields of acting, creative writing, ballet, modern dance, orchestra, chorus, drawing and painting, photography, and film and video. OSAI faculty artists include winners of the Pulitzer Prize and the Academy, Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Awards. Students will join over 250 students from across the state as they study their chosen field and attend or participate in performances, gallery openings, film screenings, poetry readings, and more. Optional activities include nature hikes, karaoke night, movie night, a talent show, and all-camp dances. Students will make lifelong friends and study with amazing teachers for a summer experience they'll never forget. Nationally renowned artists teach classes in drawing, painting, sculpting, printmaking, photography, music, theater, writing, storytelling, dance, arts integration and more. All Oklahoma public school educators automatically receive full scholarships to OFAI, including tuition and room and board.
