Omaha West Rotary Club meets weekly on Fridays at noon at Champions Run, 13800 Eagle Run Drive, Omaha, Nebraska, USA. Rotary club members are part of a diverse group of business and professional leaders working to address various community and international service needs. Through community service and other means, Rotary club members help promote peace and understanding throughout the world. Our members are our most important asset. They are the force that allows Rotary to carry out its many humanitarian efforts and achieve its mission. Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.

Membership in Omaha West Rotary offers the opportunity to build lifelong personal and business friendships, polish your professional and leadership skills and make a difference in our community and the world while you experience the personal fulfillment of providing volunteer service to others.

General Info

John W. Christian served as the first Omaha West Rotary Club President. The club's first community service project was the Senior Recognition Day program honoring six young men from each of the Omaha Public High Schools. This project continues today honoring twenty-four outstanding young men and women from twenty-four area High Schools. The club jointly sponsors the Dora Bingel Senior Center with the Salvation Army, a 1959 project that is still ongoing supported in part by the Bingel and West Omaha Rotary Foundations.
