The On Being Project is an independent non-profit public life and media initiative pursuing deep thinking and social courage, moral imagination and joy, to renew inner life, outer life, and life together. On Being Studios produces On Being with Krista Tippett, the Peabody Award-winning radio show and podcast, as well as the On Being Blog, initiatives like the Poetry Radio Project and Public Theology Reimagined, and an expanding portfolio of new podcasts including Becoming Wise and This Movie Changed Me. The Civil Conversations Project is evolving audio, digital, and live event offerings to meet a tender, tumultuous global moment. The On Being Impact Lab is our newest adventure, led by the team behind How We Gather and Care of Souls. The On Being project is based on Loring Park in Minneapolis with community, colleagues, and partners across the U.S. and around the world.
Krista Tippett Public Productions (“KTPP”) is the independent, non-profit home of On Being — a multimedia project featuring a nationally broadcast public radio show, a portfolio of podcasts, and a digital publishing platform reaching millions of people each week. KTPP is also a producer of live events and the creator of public life initiatives like The Civil Conversations Project and Public Theology Reimagined. On Being pursues the great questions of meaning and wisdom for twenty-first century life — exploring the interplay between spiritual inquiry, science, the arts, and social good; nurturing inner change and its effect on public life; and catalyzing new conversation and relationship across the differences of our age. On Being takes up the animating questions at the center of life: What does it mean to be human, how do we want to live, and who will we be to each other? We explore these questions in 21st-century lives and endeavors. We pursue wisdom and moral imagination as much as knowledge; we esteem nuance and poetry as much as fact. We seed the human change that makes social change possible across generational time.
