The objective of our business venture is to offer restaurant consumers the comfort of knowing they can dine out in a manner that adheres to their healthy mind. Our vision is "to fill your belly, not hurt it". This business venture is guaranteed to see success even in its earliest stages. We have identified our Primary Market as St. John’s and Vicinity; this includes Conception Bay South, Eastern Extern, Goulds, Mount Pearl, Paradise, Petty Harbour, and Witless Bay. The market for a certified gluten-free restaurant is waiting and available. Locally, many restaurants are experiencing an influx of Gluten free requests. The growth awareness can also be attributed to the popularity of the “Gluten-Free Fad Diet”. As a health condition on the rise, we plan to cater to those who want to socialize like the rest of society without the fear of gluten contamination. By supporting those with a gluten health condition, we will also be supporting the new life style of those who are choosing to eat gluten free, not due to health conditions but because they know it is a healthier choice. The following information demonstrates the research we have compiled over the past 10 weeks proving our restaurant to not only be a want but a need. It provides statistics on the market demands and trends of the identified demographics. The Avalon Peninsula is rapidly growing and the economic wealth is sky rocketing. The financial reports provide evidence of the economic opportunities available to our proposal. More and more businesses are popping up but none that is like ours. Our restaurant will not only be the sole certified gluten-free restaurant on the island but in Atlantic Canada. Our establishment will be one of a kind but the future plan is to have it cultivate as our economy continues to thrive and more individuals make the decision to switch to a gluten-free diet. Our feasibility study will provide insight into the mission and goals we plan to achieve with operation of On the Cuff.
