My journey began in Scotland, born in Glasgow at Rotten Row Infirmary. My first trip was to home in Cumbernauld. I lived in at least two other places in and around Stirling. We also did a many trips around Scotland to visit family in Darvel, Scone (near Perth) and Kilmarnock and also went on a few holidays. Then my father decided to leave for Australia in 1966. My family had to make the trip from Stirling to Southampton via London (my first big adventure). On the ship we traveled over the New Year taking around 6-7 weeks. We passed through Rotterdam, the Suez canal (late 1966 or early 1967 just before it was closed in 1967) and Aden. We stopped in Perth before disembarking in Melbourne February 11th 1967. We went to Adelaide by train then by car to the new home. My father had left before us and settled down in Waikerie. He was then able to apply for and get the £10 immigration passage. While in Waikerie we stayed in at least four properties. My first ever trips in Australia were to the local towns in the Riverland like Barmera, Berri, Loxton, Cadell, Morgan and Remark. Once I finished school a couple of my friends and I decided to go to the Sunbury pop festival in 1972 on the Australia Day long weekend. This was my first big adventure away from my family. This was the first of many exciting travels. I have since gone on to travel to five continents. As you may have guessed I am an experienced traveler. I would love to share my experiences with you. I am a relative newbie to the world of Internet Marketing. I am feeling my way through the maze of options available to this kind of business. I have been using the internet long before it became known as the World Wide Web. However I have not created a huge presence on the net. I have however made several attempts to market other of my own businesses on the net. For example I set up a account with Amazon to sell their products and that floundered. I am now ready to spend a lot more time and effort to get this business off the ground.
