About Doctor. Dr. Murillo was born and raised in Cali, Colombia. He went to Dental School at Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia. He validated his graduate studies of dentistry in dental surgery (D.D.S) from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2005. Upon graduation from dental school Dr. Murillo completed a one year residency program in general dentistry (GPR) at the Saint Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady, New York. Dr. Murillo later completed a two year orthodontic residency program at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics earning a certificate of advance graduate studies in orthodontics (C.A.G.S). Dr. Murillo obtained an award from the American Association of Orthodontics for his interest in the growth and development of the craneo-facial complex and also received a prize for his research thesis during his orthodontic training. Dr. Murillo is an active member of the American association of Orthodontics and the American Dental Association. He has taken numerous hours of continuing education in orthodontics and passing the phase I examination for board certification. Be assured that you and your family will get the most advanced and caring orthodontic treatment possible. Dr. Murillo clinical skills have been honed over time giving his patients healthy and beautiful teeth enhancing facial harmony and giving attractive natural smiles. Dr. Murillo is a family man with a daughter born in 2012 named Isabella Maria. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and keeping up with the new advances in orthodontics.
