We offer four “types” of business application builds: 1. Completely custom apps, built from the ground up, built exactly to your specifications. These can be desktop or server based, cloud-based (hosted on a remote third-party server), or built for exclusively for mobile devices. 2. Cloud-based “customized” apps, built to meet your specific functional specifications, which are built in “software platform environments,” or “development frameworks.” These environments provide us with a “structure” which has a great many functions and elements already built-in. So, we are not creating your app from the “ground-up.” Instead, we start with an app that is already “mostly built” for you… we are simply adding the functions you need for your business. Think of it this way: a “ground-up” build is like baking a cake completely from scratch… you need to know a “recipe,” and have to go out and buy, and mix all the ingredients yourself, in exactly the right proportions. Using a “development framework,” it is more like buying a “ready-to-bake” cake mix, which is essentially ready to go out of the box. We just add what we want to the mix… maybe some flavours, icing, and a little decoration. The two products look much the same, and taste much the same, but, one is vastly more expensive to build in terms of time, ingredients, and labour cost… same thing here.
